25 March 2017 - The 3rd Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Confederation of Allied Health Professional Associations (MyCAHP) was held on 25th March 2017 at the Allied Health Science Division, Ministry of Health, Putrajaya. MIMLS was represented at this meeting by our President Elect, Pn. Faridah Robiah Ismail and Council Members Mr. Tan Kian Shing and Mr. Maheswaran A/L Ramalingam.

During the election of new office-bearers, Pn. Faridah was elected as EXCO Member for the term 2017/2019. The list of elected office-bearers for MyCAHP (2017/2019) are as below:

• Assistant Secretary – Mr. Tengku Mohd Asri Tengku Makhtar (Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association - MOTA)
• Treasurer – Mr. Patrick Tan Han Guan (Persatuan Audiologis Kebangsaan Malaysia - MANSA)
• EXCO Member – Pn. Jamaliah Salleh (Persatuan Pengajar Sains Kesihatan Bersekutu)

About MyCAHP :
MIMLS is a member of the Malaysian Confederation of Allied Health Professional Associations (MyCAHP), which is an umbrella body for allied health professional associations in the country. Member associations of MyCAHP represent 21 different allied health professions in the country, such as audiologists, dietitians, physiotherapists and so on.

Objectives of MyCAHP :

1. Protect the interests and enhance the values of the allied health professions,
2. Make concerted efforts through mutual understanding and solidarity towards improving the quality of service delivery and health care,
3. Spearhead the development and growth of the allied health profession.
